What’s on offer………

Intro Para-Equestrian Competitions

This competition series helps ‘bridge the gap’ between competing at RDA dressage competitions and affiliated British Dressage (BD) competitions.  The aims is to break down some of the perceived barriers that stop riders starting in what is now one of the best competition pathways in the World.  The first steps are often the most difficult ones to take and the initiative will help riders to take those steps in to the BD competition structure.

Intro Shows now include an Open RDA class – This class is a non-qualifier class  open to riders who are eligible to compete in the RDA Intellectual Disability Championship Test (2013) walk, trot and canter. It is a requirement that riders must be members of an RDA centre and this should be clearly stated on the entry form. The test used will be the RDA Intellectual Disability Championship Test (2013) walk, trot and canter and this competition will be run under RDA rules. This class is not a qualifier for the British Dressage Intro Show Championships.

BEF Para-Equestrian Entry Programme

Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), British Dressage (BD) and British Equestrian (BEF) are together, bringing Regional Para Dressage training to your local RDA centre!

This training initiative, supported by funding from Sport England offers up to 2 training days a year in five England regions and will be taken by top International coaches. The aim of this initiative is to encourage young riders to make the next steps towards competing in British Dressage (BD) Para Equestrian competitions and entry onto the talent pathway. This programme will assist these riders to move onto the more advanced talent pathway schemes leading to the British Equestrian Excel Talent programme. These regional training sessions will take place in RDA centres.

Para-Equestrian Entry Programme
