These classes are judged purely on turnout, not as a showing class and are open to all riders. There will be a junior and senior section for each day. Riders may compete as juniors until the end of the year in which they reach the age of 16.
Rosettes will be awarded 1st to 6th place.
Rosettes will also be awarded to the grooms of the horses placed 1st to 6th.
Each combination is scored out of a possible 100 marks, which are divided equally between the horse, saddlery, rider and the overall impression. In the event of a tie, the overall impression mark will decide the result.
Horse (marked purely on cleanliness not conformation) – 25 marks
Saddlery (marked on cleanliness, suppleness and fit) – 25 marks
Rider (marked on cleanliness and fit of riding attire) – 25 marks
Overall impression (marked on general appearance) – 25 marks
Total – 100 marks
